Does Autenti support certificates on a physical card?

Yes, the Autenti platform is integrated with multiple qualified signature providers offering certificates on physical smartcards or cryptographic tokens.

Currently, supported signatures include:

Any qualified signature

Alternatively, you can use the Any qualified signature feature.

Important: Availability of this option depends on whether the document sender has purchased access to it as part of their plan. 

Using this feature requires the sender to configure the document correctly during setup:

  1. Restart/recreate the process.
  2. Select the signature visualization on the document option instead of the standard signature card (in document settings).

How does it work?

This configuration enables a mode where the signer downloads the file from the platform, signs it locally on their computer (using their smartcard and the software provided by their certificate issuer), and then uploads the signed file back to Autenti. This allows other participants to continue the process and add their signatures on the platform.

Key benefit: Thanks to this feature, you can sign documents using any qualified signature on a physical smartcard-regardless of which provider issued your certificate.
