How to set the default role and signature in the address book?
New settings have been added to the address book, allowing you to define the default type of signature and the role that a given contact should assume when signing a document. These settings will be automatically applied when sending a new document, significantly reducing the time needed to send a document – for users who utilize the address book.
Setting when creating a new contact
- Go to the address book.
- Use the “Add contact” button and fill in the required fields.
- At the bottom of the form, set one of the following default roles:

Initialer

Reviewer

Viewer
4. Also select the default signature type:

Setting when editing an existing contact
- Go to the address book.
- Find the contact you want to edit in the list and click on the “three dots” icon.
- Select the “Edit” option.
- At the bottom of the form, set the default role and signature type, choosing from the same options as when creating a new contact.
Additional settings
If you choose Autenti e-Signature as the default signature, an additional option will appear: “Recipient authorization via SMS code for Autenti e-Signature”. Select it if you want the contact to confirm the signature with a one-time SMS password. This feature is available for users with the PRO SMS plan.
Important information

The Reviewer role can only be assigned by users with a PREMIUM plan.

The default selection of Autenti Advanced e-Signature is available to users who have activated (for an additional fee) this functionality on their account.
Setting when importing
For users importing contacts into the address book, the Import functionality has also been enhanced. The import file has received three additional columns, and filling them in correctly will result in setting the default role and signature for the imported entries.
